Box braids

My first time ever having box braids was when I got them for my birthday. I installed them myself and I was quite a dreadful process. It took me about 6 hours (doing other things in between) and  once I finally finished I absolutely hated them. The were extremely heavy and I just overall didn't like the way they look. 

I wore them up most of the time. I only kept them in for about 3 weeks but I did get a lot of growth from them in that short amount of time. 

Excuse the runny make up but after I took them out I washed and DEEP conditioned my hair is ring shea moisture products. Two strand flat twisted my hair and made myself a wig for the next month or so.

. 

Although I didn't like the look of the box braids on my face; I did like my results. I strongly recommend them!!!!
